“This year, we’ve done some exciting things in our Kids Ministry at Table Church! In addition to our regular Sunday morning gatherings where we serve 40-50 kids each week, we hosted 35 kids (with 18 volunteers!) at Stellar VBS in August, and we launched Wednesday Night Kids Club in September with 21 kids regularly attending!
VBS was such a fun time with our kids! This year, we spent 3 days learning about ways we can shine Jesus’ light, even when the world feels dark. Our kids played games, learned scripture, engaged in science-y fun experiments, and sang songs celebrating Jesus, the Light of the World. We are so thankful for our amazing volunteers who make this possible every year!
At Kids Club, our kids had an opportunity to take a deeper dive into their faith as we focused on becoming familiar with our Bibles and how to look up scripture verses, and we spent a lot of time developing prayer practices that equipped kids to spend time with the Lord in prayer. The kids memorized their books of the Bible, made a set of Resurrection Eggs to practice telling the parts of the Easter story, and made “worry” prayer boxes to help them surrender things that are making them feel anxious. We also had a ton of fun playing games and getting to know each other better!”
